01

Information we collect

We collect only the information reasonably needed to operate, protect, and improve Shneezzle.

Information you provide

  • Account information, such as your name, email address, and sign-in credentials.
  • Preferences, saved products, watchlists, alerts, and other account settings.
  • Messages, feedback, questions, corrections, and support requests you send to us.
  • Information you voluntarily add to future ownership, warranty, receipt, or product-management features.

Information collected automatically

  • Basic device, browser, operating-system, and connection information.
  • Pages viewed, searches performed, links selected, and general interaction data.
  • Approximate location derived from an IP address, where permitted.
  • Technical logs used to maintain security, diagnose errors, and prevent abuse.

We do not intentionally collect more personal information than is necessary for the stated purpose.

02

How we use information

We may use collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Shneezzle platform.
  • Operate accounts, saved products, watchlists, and alerts.
  • Return relevant search results and product information.
  • Improve our evidence systems, recommendations, usability, and performance.
  • Understand how visitors use Shneezzle and which features are helpful.
  • Detect fraud, security threats, misuse, and technical problems.
  • Respond to questions, feedback, correction requests, and support inquiries.
  • Meet legal, regulatory, accounting, and operational requirements.

We do not use personal information to secretly manipulate product rankings or create paid recommendations disguised as independent evidence.

03

Evidence, searches, and recommendations

Shneezzle analyzes product information, prices, retailer offers, specifications, and other evidence to help users make buying decisions.

Searches and interactions may be used in aggregated or de-identified form to improve product discovery, identify missing evidence, and understand which comparisons are useful. We aim to avoid using identifiable personal information when aggregated or de-identified information is sufficient.

Product scores and recommendations are designed to reflect available evidence—not a user's identity. Affiliate relationships, where present, do not determine Shneezzle scores.

04

Cookies and similar technologies

Shneezzle may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the website functioning, remember preferences, measure performance, and protect the platform.

These technologies may include:

  • Essential technologies: required for security, authentication, navigation, and core website functions.
  • Preference technologies: used to remember choices and improve convenience.
  • Analytics technologies: used to understand platform performance and general usage.
  • Affiliate technologies: used to attribute a qualifying purchase to a referral link.

You may be able to control non-essential cookies through your browser or any cookie controls Shneezzle makes available. Blocking some technologies may affect website functionality.

06

When information may be shared

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information in the following circumstances:

  • With service providers that help us host, secure, analyze, or operate the platform.
  • With authentication, database, email, notification, analytics, or infrastructure providers used to deliver requested features.
  • When required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or a valid government request.
  • When reasonably necessary to protect users, Shneezzle, or the public from fraud, abuse, security threats, or unlawful activity.
  • As part of a merger, financing, reorganization, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and privacy protections.
  • With your direction or consent.

Service providers are expected to use personal information only for authorized purposes and to protect it appropriately.

07

Data storage and international processing

Shneezzle is intended for Canadian consumers, but our infrastructure and service providers may store or process information in Canada, the United States, or other jurisdictions.

Information processed outside your province or country may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is handled, including lawful access by courts, law-enforcement agencies, or government authorities.

08

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

These safeguards may include access controls, secure infrastructure, encrypted connections, authentication protections, monitoring, and limited access to personal information.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and notifying us if you believe your account or information has been compromised.

09

Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the platform, fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and satisfy legal or regulatory obligations.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the feature involved. Information that is no longer required may be deleted, anonymized, or securely isolated, subject to applicable law and legitimate operational requirements.

10

Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live and which features you use, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to personal information held about you.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Request deletion of eligible personal information.
  • Manage marketing or notification preferences.
  • Ask questions about how your information is handled.
  • Submit a complaint to an applicable privacy regulator if your concern is not resolved.

Some information may need to be retained where required by law or where there is a legitimate need to protect security, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.

Children's privacy

Shneezzle is not intended to collect personal information from children under 13. We do not knowingly collect such information without appropriate authorization.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to Shneezzle, please contact us so that we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

13

Changes to this policy

Shneezzle is actively developing, and this Privacy Policy is subject to change as the platform, its features, service providers, and legal obligations evolve.

When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice through the website or another appropriate channel.

Additional privacy information, controls, or terms may be introduced as new Shneezzle features become available.
